Disney Boat Rental

Ahoy matey! While staying at Walt Disney World resort, it is a nice change of pace to spend some time away from the parks and in a rental boat! You can rent boats and set sail in Crescent Lake, which is the lake in between Disney’s Beach & Yacht Club and Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. The Lake also heads upstream, passing by the Swan and Dolphin hotels and meanders all the way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can ride the full loop from the Beach & Yacht Club marina to Hollywood Studios back and forth 2 times if you purchase the 30 minute rental like we did!

There are several marinas located all across the resort and there are a variety of watercraft available for rental. The rental locations we know off the top of our heads is the one outside of the Beach Club and one by the Contemporary/Poly and Grand Floridian Resort. We set sail out of the dock by the Beach Club. We were greeted by two kind gentlemen who were able to help us decide what the appropriate ride for us for the day would be. We selected a 30-minute rental. The boat we rented was a Boston Whaler which can seat up to 6. The Boston Whaler’s fastest speed was 6 mph, so we felt pretty safe in it; we also felt secure in our bright yellow vests! Even though it was a cloudy day we had such a fun time! P.S. Cloudy days are the absolute best days to get sun burn, make sure you lather up in something greater than SPF 15 for your journey J

We highly recommend renting a boat to explore the waters of Disney World Resort, the best time to go is honestly when everyone else is at the parks, aka the middle of the day. It was a fun off beat activity, one that we definitely didn’t have to wait in line for! We made a short clip so you can capture some of the fun we had on our journey! Arrrrrgh.

Have you every tried a boat rental at Disney World? What is your favorite activity to do at Disney World besides the parks? Seriously, will someone answer our questions? What do we have to do to get someone to answer our questions on this blog, or even like a post? Arrrrrgh.
